Naruto Chapter 403 - Tears *SPOILERS*

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

The 403rd chapter of Naruto, which you can download HERE(with an account... but it only takes a few minutes, so...), was entitled "Tears". It didn't really make me cry as hard as the last few chapters, but the name makes sense in the last few pages. Now, I'll be summarizing and reviewing this chapter, so, in case you didn't read the title or beginning statement, be prepared for some major spoilers. And... I really can't write summaries. Oh well. Onwards...

The chapter starts off with Naruto, in Konoha, lying on his bed... And then it's flashback time!! Remember way back when, when Naruto met up with Itachi... and then Itachi left for "more important things", i.e. Sasuke. Well, we get a recap of that. And the one panel where Itachi smiles after Naruto says that Sasuke was closer with him than Itachi... I finally get it! Then we get treated to a part we didn't get to see before, in which Naruto is trapped in one of Itachi's genjutsu. Itachi goes on to ask Naruto what he'd do if Sasuke attacked Konoha., to which Naruto replies that he'd find a way to protect Konoha and save Sasuke. And then... Itachi actually smiles. Then Naruto is buffeted in the mouth by a crow. =.= I dunno, it sorta ruine the moment for me, but whatever. Itachi says that he has given Naruto some of his power, but he hopes that he'll never have to use it... foreshadowing, possibly?

After that, it switches to Sasuke, who is sitting... on some sort of structure. o.O? I'm not quite sure what it is... but the thing that's really confusing me is that, in the last chapter, he was standing near a body of water... which is now nowhere in sight. *sigh* Whatever, it's just that no one cares about continuity anymore. It's not important. *huffs* Anyways, Sasuke states that the moon reminds him of that night. And guess what happens next? Another flashback!! Ha, despiste my sarcasm, I actually do enjoy flashback sometimes. Especially this one. Because, even though the beginning of it was just of what we previously knew (the night the Uchihas were killed), the end of the flashback - which is where the title of the chapter comes from - was great. Itachi actually cried! *swoons* I'm starting to like him all over again! Sasuke just suddenly remembers this now... quite convienient, I must say. He then states that Tobi (or Madara or whoever he truly is) must have been telling the truth. 'Cause, of course, before Madara just had to be making up that whole elaborate story about Itachi. Of course. Anyways, it goes back to Naruto, still lying face down on his bed, who is thinking about what Itachi wanted to say to him. Then it's back to Sasuke. He tells Madara his own thoughts and wishes are different from Itachi's. Apparently, Sasuke will revive the Uchiha clan his own way! Yeah!

So, my view of the chapter: Could've been better. I found myself a bit bored reading through it, to tell you the truth. The best part in my opinion was the panel of Itachi crying. It... made me really happy. But the preview of the next chapter, which says, "When Konoha recieves word of the attack... what will Naruto do!?"... it sorta scares me. Is Sasuke actually going to attack konoha, like Itachi told Naruto he would? Or is he going to do something else...? Ha, I told my friend that I think Sasuke should to attack Konoha, kidnap Sakura, and then go live happily ever after with her and their kiddies. ^.^ Hehe! Well, that's it for my summary/review! ... I'm not very good at these. =.= Oh well.
